On April 23rd, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law Senate Bill 1070 which aimed to deal with the illegal immigration crisis which was having a devastating effect on the residents of Arizona.  This legislation was passed along party lines and is overwhelmingly supported by the citizens of Arizona and the nation.

In short, the new law makes it a state misdemeanor for non-citizens to be in Arizona without carrying legal documents, steps up state and local law enforcement of Federal immigration laws, and cracks down on those sheltering, hiring and transporting illegal aliens.

As a result, the open-borders Left – ignoring the spiking crime rate and encouraging violent, threatening rhetoric – has begun an effort to punish the law-abiding citizens and business owners of Arizona with a boycott of Arizona-based companies.  Anyone who disagrees with the boycott or supports Arizonans is branded a racist.

The truth is that it is not about race at all.  This is about the rights of states and their respective responsibility to protect their citizenry.  The border must be secured and the crime, drug dealing, and human trafficking that now engulf the border states like Arizona must be stopped. It is abundently clear that the federal government has no intention of fuulfilling its obligations in this area.

We support Arizona for exercising its state’s rights and having the courage to do what is necessary to solve this crisis and encourage other states to follow suit.

But how can we do show our support from way over here in Central Florida and across the nation? We decided a “Buy-cott” rally and a Tea Party Road Trip to Arizona was in order to provide all patriots an opportunity to support our friends  in Arizona and demand that the federal government enforce our immigration laws and secure our borders.

A Tea Party Road Trip to Arizona!
